The stage was set, the lights dimmed, and minds eagerly awaited the flood of ideas about to be unleashed. TEDxGateway 2024, held at the iconic NCPA Mumbai, proved to be a beacon of inspiration, bringing together a diverse array of speakers from across the globe. From poets to scientists, social workers to entrepreneurs, each presenter illuminated the audience with unique insights and endeavors. While all the speakers had stories worth sharing and inspirational, these seven definitely hit a chord with me.

1. Education Reform for Social Equity: Parmita Sarma

Parmita Sarma, co-founder of Akshar Foundation, led the creation of Akshar Foundation's model school, Akshar Forum in Guwahati. Her dedication to education reform in underserved communities reflects a commitment to social equity and inclusive development.

2. Resilience and Redemption: Avneesh Kumar

Avneesh Kumar, emerging from five years of incarceration in one of the world's most dangerous prisons, embarked on a path of social reform through Project Kunji (Prison Helpline). His journey is a testament to the human capacity for resilience and the transformative power of redemption.
